Black Music Experience (BMETV) is a new streaming platform created to amplify the narratives of Black musicians, Black culture, and justice for Black Lives. BME aims to showcase high-quality shows, socially conscious programming,and concerts produced by independent and unique filmmakers, artists, and journalists who aim to change the narrative through their stories and music.
Adrian Dunn is an award-winning multi-genre singer, composer, producer, and activist. A native of Cleveland, Ohio he is a McArthur grant recipient for his original work Hopera: A Hip Hop Opera, and is the founder of the professional vocal ensemble The Adrian Dunn Singers. He is the founder & CEO of HoperaWorld Productions. Adrian holds a Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degree from The Music Conservatory at Roosevelt University. In 2019, Adrian founded RISE: Black Millennial Music & Justice Symposium. Adrian's new album, REDEMPTION (2020), with The Adrian Dunn Singers and The RISE orchestra, is available on all digital platforms. Adrian 4th book, How Music Saved My Life, Can Save Black Lives, & the Soul of America: An In-Depth Look Into the spirituals in Redemption. As an active professional singer, producer, and songwriter, Mr. Dunn has had the privilege of working with: The Roots,Tremaine Hawkins, Myron Butler, Melonie Daniels, Troy Bright, Lamar Campbell, Damien Sneed, Walt Whitman & the Soul Children of Chicago, Smokie Norful, Jonathan Nelson,The Chicago Symphony Chorus, The Grant Park Symphony Chorus and many more. He was awarded Album Producer of the Year for AME Live featuring the AME International Mass Choir from the Rhythm of Gospel Awards. He served as principal vocal coach for Kanye West’s artist development program Donda’s House. He was a featured artist for the live DVD recording of the Higher Ground Gospel Choir in Helsinki, Finland. He has toured throughout the US, South Africa, Italy, Germany, the UK, and Scandinavia.
